Subaru Australia has confirmed just 150 examples of its limited-run
will make it to local showrooms, priced from $43,090 plus on-road costs.Available in both manual and automatic ($46,890 plus ORCs) forms,
..The extra outlay nets buyers embossed ‘10th Anniversary’ logos on the door trims, blue interior stitching and perforated seat trim, black dashboard trim, 18-inch alloys, mirror caps and rear badging, as well as a vehicle specific interior build plate.
These exclusive touches will be paired solely with Subaru’s signature ‘WR Blue’ exterior paint colour.
No changes have been made to the chassis or powertrain, meaning the BRZ continues to develop 174kW/270Nm courtesy of its free-breathing 2.4-litre flat four-cylinder petrol engine.
Both the manual and automatic transmissions comprise six ratios and send power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential.
Standard equipment highlights carried over from the BRZ S include self-levelling LED headlights, Ultrasuede and leather seat upholstery, dual-zone climate control, satellite-navigation and an 8.0-inch infotainment interface with smartphone mirroring.
Subaru Australia managing director Blair Read said the two-pronged transmission line-up ensured the limited-edition cars will accommodate “all sports car buyers”, while their unique cosmetic touches and exclusivity will “attract the attention of BRZ enthusiasts and car collectors alike”.
“We are thrilled to open the order books for this very special model, which celebrates a decade since the debut of the first Subaru BRZ,” he said.
“For the BRZ 10th Anniversary Edition, the engineers have taken the same absolute attention to detail they did on creating the BRZ’s complete package and added exclusive commemorative touches to the interior and exterior.”
First deliveries are expected to start in February, but the local Subaru boss encouraged interested parties to act fast given the immense demand for the rear-drive coupe at the moment.
