Subaru reveals pricing, specs for Forester tS
Due in showrooms next month, Subaru's STI-enhanced Forester will nudge $55KSubaru Australia has announced the Forester tS will arrive in June, priced at $54,990.
At that price, the Forester tS represents $12,000 extra value over the Forester XT Premium, just $7000 more. Little wonder that it has attracted a substantial order bank ahead of the commencement of local deliveries. According to the importer, orders threaten to overrun the allocation of 300 cars for Australia.
“When we flagged Forester tS late last year, the customer enquiries went through the roof and the end result is we’re already wishing we’d ordered more than 300," says Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior.
“It’s clear proof of the success of this clever joint development between the Subaru factory and the performance arm, Subaru Tecnica International (STI).
“While the cars were built in the Subaru factory, they were transferred to STI for final completion and the addition of around 30 items.
“It certainly gives us great confidence in progressing other joint projects between the factory and STI.”
Colours available for the enhanced Forester are: Crystal White Pearl, Crystal Black Silica or WR Blue, each with black interior trim. While the Forester tS doesn't have the sunroof fitted as standard to the Forester XT Premium, it more than compensates with the following additional features:
