Subaru's has given its base Liberty a sense of directionSubaru has jumped back into the special/limited edition pool. The premium Japanese brand launched a number of special editions in early 2006, but has been quiet on the package front of late.
The new special edition is based on the entry-level Liberty 2.0R and gets integrated touch-screen satellite navigation for a price premium of $500 over the standard model.
The special edition also adds tinted rear windows and is priced from $32,490 for the manual sedan.
Previously only available on range-topping Liberty and Outback models, Subaru’s Sat-Nav system is normally priced at $2990. It uses the Whereis Map database, the latest version of which Subaru claimscovers more than 97 per cent of Australia.
On sale now, the sat-nav equipped 2.0R is available in both sedan and wagon versions with both manual and auto tranmissions. Pricing depends on body and transmission combination. Subaru says availability is limited.
