Stand by for a wild Toyota Supra concept, dubbed the GR Supra3000GT, to be unveiled at the SEMA tuner show in Las Vegas next month.
Toyota has given a couple of visual hints of what to expect at SEMA, including a massive rear wing, four bonnet cut-outs, a widened body and a substantial wheel and tyre combination.
Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in Japan is responsible for the concept and its teaser video makes it clear the new model is inspired by the 1994 A80 TRD3000GT, which took its inspiration from the racing version of the time.
Nothing released so far gives any hint of potential engine upgrades for the concept, although the BMW-sourced B58 turbo-petrol inline six-cylinder in the standard Toyota Supra is certainly capable of producing more than the 250kW/500Nm.
The question now is whether the concept foreshadows the first expansion of the Supra line-up beyond the two models it launched with, or whether the parts involved will be added to the TRD accessories catalogue.
Watch out for more on what could be the wildest ever Supra ahead of its reveal in the US on November 5.
