Internet sensation and supercar aficionado Alex Hirschi has just launched her very own car auction website. And, it’s unlike any other auction house around.
If you don’t know who Brisbane-born, Alex Hirschi is, that’s probably because she’s best known to fans as Supercar Blondie. Having amassed a huge following across her social channels, the glamorous yet ultra-cool Hirschi has a whopping 18.5 million subscribers on YouTube, 18.1 million followers on TikTok, and 16 million on Instagram.
And now, you can get a little closer to some of the hypercars she features on her social media… but only if you have lots of money.
That’s because the new digital auction platform, dubbed SBX Cars specialises in offering the “coolest, craziest, most collectable, and most extreme cars in the world” according to Hirschi, with people able to bid and buy cars from (and get them shipped to) anywhere in the world.
Available to both private sellers and dealers worldwide, you can advertise a vehicle for as little as $250, however, if you have something more unique to sell, you can opt for the ‘White Glove’ package, where Alex’s team of experts will create a custom package for you with bespoke marketing and a sales plan.
From there, the sky’s the limit.
Spruiking a global audience, verified buyers, and only the most premium vehicles, SBX is a rich person’s one-stop shop for some of the rarest and most iconic vehicles in the world.
Launched this week, there’s already a host of collectibles and prototypes on offer, including a hybrid 2015 Volkswagen XL1 from the Netherlands, a Porsche 356B Convertible from New York, and a Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge from Dubai.
A prototype La Ferrari is also set to go to auction on April 11, along with a 2019 Ford GT, and an ultra-rare Mercedes-Benz AMG One.
From Germany to Italy, and Switzerland to Canada, the online auction house even sells robots, with this wicked (and fully functional) Tsubame Industries Archax Robot from Japan – that you can actually drive yourself, or control remotely – also listed as ‘coming soon’.
And did someone say NASCAR? How about this international-built Super Speedway Car, said to have been raced in 2007 by Dale Earnhardt Junior at Daytona International Speedway.
If you’d prefer to float, then how about this… a fully electric German-built (and BMW-designed) yacht dubbed ‘The Icon’. It’s the first ever battery-powered boat, with power from a pair of 100kW electric motors and a Hans Zimmer-produced propulsion soundtrack.
Unveiled at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, the electric yacht can travel for around 50 nautical miles on a single charge.
