Supercars drivers racing in the Repco Pro Eseries, along with members of the public, are set to raise valuable funds for breast cancer research.
The online racing series has paired with breast cancer research organisation, Breast Cancer Trials, to help support clinical trials research through the Pink Fundracer event.
Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the fundraising challenge will raise money directly through motorsport fans and gamers, who are given the opportunity to sponsor their favourite driver or team.
Round 1 will see the cars wrapped in a special bright pink livery, with all the action broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo, Supercars Facebook, Twitch and YouTube on October 28 from 7:30pm.
The full entry list for the Repco Supercars Pro Eseries will be announced on the Pink Fundracer page on October 19.
Julie Callaghan from Breast Cancer Trials said the Pink Fundracer offers a unique opportunity to participate in a fun and impactful fundraising event.
“Unfortunately, even during a pandemic, breast cancer marches on and over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed this year,” she said.
“This [partnership] will help minimise the impact COVID-19 has on our ability to continue research and will help change the future for all women and men at risk of breast cancer.”
