The Carsales Network's Autogate site has enhanced its photo gallery system, allowing dealers to upload more images of cars for sale. Every car promoted on Autogate can be pictured in minute detail through this revised system, which can handle as many as 20 pictures of each car advertised instead of the 12-image limit previously. The respective vehicle's web page will remain limited to just 12 images, but by clicking on a hyperlink displayed on the page, the browser can navigate to the full gallery.
The changes to the system became operational on Tuesday May 5 for the dealer-focused Autogate ads, coinciding with a new photo gallery upload system also enabled for private vendors' advertising on all Carsales sites. Previously, the private ad galleries were limited to five images for standard ads or nine images for premium ads. With the new system up and running, vendors can upload as many as nine photos for the standard ads or 15 photos for the premium ads. Prospective buyers will consequently gain a better appreciation of any car under consideration.
Introduced as part of a program of constant improvement for the sites, both new systems will inevitably lead to better qualified enquiries. The Carsales Network recommends photos and comments accompany any car advertisement, since those are the two items that most directly impact on the quantity and quality of customer enquiries. Photos are the first thing that attracts the customer's attention.
