Suzuki S-Cross driving-away
Japanese importer sweetens January release of new S-Cross hatch with drive-away pricingJust weeks after its national media launch and before the vehicle goes on sale to the public, Suzuki has announced drive-away pricing for the entire S-Cross hatchback range.
The new positioning, which hikes all models' pricetags by $1000, will be an introductory offer only available in January, when the car arrives at dealers.
Flagged at the S-Cross launch last month, Suzuki says the drive-away pricing strategy aims to “stimulate the economy" by "subsidising" on-road costs for the all-new model.
While the S-Cross was launched with a base list price of $22,990 plus on-road costs, drive-away pricing starting at $23,990 for the entry-level S-Cross GL manual.
In the S-Cross's price range -- $23K to $35K -- on-road costs typically total between $2000 and $2500, so the $1000-higher price represents a saving of at least $1000.
"Now, with the added bonus of drive-away pricing, the Suzuki S-Cross lives up to the Suzuki philosophy of outstanding value for money," said Tony Devers, Suzuki Australia General Manager.
"The new S-Cross is perfectly matched to the needs of Australian families and active lifestylers," he said.
As we’ve reported, the S-Cross is the first Suzuki to ride on an all-new lighter platform, and returns fuel consumption as low as 5.8L/100km.
