Suzuki Australia has announced a new pricing regime for its S-Cross hatch, effectively cutting the price by paying the 'on-road' costs up front.
The move amounts to a discount for all models other than the range-topping S-Cross GLX AWD Prestige, which has actually climbed to $36,990 (drive-away). That's still a nett price reduction though, against the previous manufacturer's list price of $35,990 before the ORCs.
Suzuki has also dropped from the range the GLX AWD model lacking the 'Prestige' features of the flagship: panoramic sunroof and leather trim.
"Value for money has always been a cornerstone for Suzuki and the S-Cross now represents an outstanding investment," said Suzuki Australia Automobiles General Manager Tony Devers, as quoted in a press release.
"We built the S-Cross with Australian consumers in mind, delivering on the key requirements of fuel economy and interior space. The new S-Cross is class leading for both.
"Now, with drive-away pricing, it means the S-Cross is clearly a class leader in value for money."
