Suzuki Australia has announced a special-edition version of its Suzuki Swift hatchback to commemorate the Japanese small-car brand’s centenary in 2020.
Based on the entry-level Swift GL Navigator priced at $18,990 before on-road costs, the Swift 100 Year Anniversary is priced at $24,990 drive-away and brings a range of exterior goodies to justify the higher price.
Those include a black roof spoiler, lower front carbon-fibre style decals and a black stripe decals that extend horizontally from the front bar to the rear doors.
Only 100 units will be available, all with limited-edition badging and the choice two unique two-tone colour packages – Burning Red or Speedy Blue, both with a super black roof.
Most other bits are carried over, including the petite 66kW/120Nm 1.2-litre four-cylinder Dualjet engine, which usually comes mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT automatic. The special-edition models, however, will all be automatic.
Other standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, fabric upholstery, reverse camera, navigation, Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Suzuki says those interested can place their orders from tomorrow (April 1).
