The Car Show: Classic Moves

In this week's episode of The Car Show we look at the rise and rise of the pony car and its reincarnation

Launched in the USA in April, 1964, the Mustang was so popular that the two-millionth vehicle was built in just two years.

Fast forward to the 21st Century and retro versions are now sweeping the world. At the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, fellow muscle car icons the Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger played the nostalgia card by reviving the style of the early classics that are still firm favourites among the faithful.

Are you better off with a restored original or the new kid on the block? It's a battle of old versus new, so of course we put the oldest (Glenn) against the youngest (in maturity) Dieter, to see if youth or wisdom wins over.

The Car Show airs this Saturday at 1 pm and at midnight this Wednesday on Channel Nine.
