The covers have come off the latest collab between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing in the form of the one-off special edition Cigarette 41’ Nighthawk AMG Black Series boat which draws design and spirit inspiration from the land-loving Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series performance car.
Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have been collaborating since 2007, creating special edition luxury and performance boats given the Mercedes-AMG tick of approval. This is the 13th boat jointly developed by the pair and they’re promising direct and unfiltered performance, combined with iconic design and luxurious features for this highly exclusive special edition performance boat.
The 41’ Nighthawk AMG Black Series Edition draws on Cigarette’s advanced engineering, including its unique twin-step hull design to deliver its remarkable on-water performance, a low centre of gravity, which improves handling, and light overall weight, which improves speed. And is covered head to toe in carbon fibre on the deck and on the hardtop.
It also is bestowed with some very AMG eye-catching Magmabeam orange and black exterior colours. The Magmabeam orange and black colour scheme is complemented by small AMG logos painted towards the bow of the boat in a repeating pattern. Each of these logos are individually painted.
Like the AMG GT Black Series, this special edition boat also sets new standards in performance within its segment. The 41’ Nighthawk AMG Edition is the first in its model range to feature five 4.6-litre V8 racing-grade outboard engines. The combined 2,250 HP output accelerates this new special edition boat to a remarkable top speed of more than 90 MPH (144 km/h).
Inside, the interior is primarily grey and black, with distinctive orange detailing throughout. The forward helm seating consists of two rows with three seats each with this seating layout great for sporty driving. There is an L-shaped lounge at the rear of the boat, and U-shaped seating at the bow making it perfect to cruise in comfort and relax with friends.
The 41’ Nighthawk AMG Edition also has an advanced control interface design meaning you’re able to control the vessel’s features and performance through a sophisticated digital switching system.
It also comes with lux comfort options such as a high-powered Audio Marine audio system, an advanced lighting system, and a bow thruster. Additional Garmin multifunctional displays are located throughout the boat giving passengers easy access to the digital switching system to control lighting, stereo, chart plotting, and other amenities.
Mercedes doesn't list a price for this one-off boat (when you’re playing in these circles it’s best not to mention price upfront), but the standard ‘41 Nighthawk Series of boats start from $800,000 USD ($1,050,000 AUD). Add in the cost of those extra V8 engines and some Mercedes-AMG logos and design touches… your guess is as good as ours on this one.
