You know that one road trip you’ve wanted to make for ages, but there’s all those reasons you can’t go – like you don’t have time and you can’t be bothered?
Well, now could be the perfect time.
Maybe you could catch up with your parents living a few hours away or perhaps you could visit that dainty cafe you’ve heard makes mega scones. Why not check out that classic car you’ve saved on carsales.com.au or take the family along to that beautiful hidden waterfall you’ve always wanted to see.
COVID-19 coronavirus fears, social distancing measures, the closure of many public places and a nation-wide shortage of toilet paper and bread all signal challenging times ahead. Small businesses recovering from recent bushfires are now copping another battering and need our help more than ever.
So, we say take that road trip. You’ve probably got time. And, it’s something you can do while social distancing (just don’t pick up any hitchhikers or cough all over the person taking your tea and scone order).
A bit of self-care and relaxation might help beat the coronavirus isolation blues. And besides, your mates out in whoop-whoop might need some of that toilet paper you’ve been hoarding.

In the meantime, see below for some cool places to think about visiting. Just please remember to practice good hygiene, take soap and/or hand sanitiser and keep a 1.5 metre radius around yourself when you stop at the servo.
We do ask this though, please take everything extra you might need with you, and don't expect to be able to purchase essentials at your destination. Residents rely on their local supermarkets for all of their needs.
So, plan ahead, get out of town and look at something else for awhile. These glorious places aren’t going anywhere.
