This handmade scale model Rolls-Royce Cullinan is millimetre perfect
Sir Henry Royce once said, “Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.”Rolls-Royce has created the perfect scale model of the Cullinan SUV so you don’t need to leave the house to enjoy this super lux drive.
This authentic 1:8 scale replica of a full-sized Cullinan is individually and painstakingly hand crafted from over 1,000 individual components to your custom specifications. This process can take up to 450 hours which is over half the time needed to build a full-sized version of the Cullinan itself.
The replica is hand-painted using Rolls-Royce colour-matched paint, then hand-polished; the coachline is even applied using a fine brush, just like on the real deal. You’d hope the painters have steady hands to paint such a fine line. You can choose from a palette of around 40,000 colours, or replicate your own personal bespoke finish that matches your car.
The fully-functioning exterior lights are operated by a Cullinan-branded remote control while under the bonnet there is a perfect match for the ?iconic twin-turbocharged V12 engine.
On opening the car doors, illuminated treadplates are revealed, leading to an interior that is so realistic to the original, you'd think you were an actual giant looking into the real SUV. From the headrest embroidery and wood finishes to seat piping and stitching, these iconic motifs of the luxury brand are recreated with astonishing accuracy. Even the SUV's boot comes with an accurate luggage compartment and split tailgate.
The scale model is presented in a display case which is almost a metre long, and is set on a gloss-black base mounted on a plinth allowing the car to be appreciated from all angles. The Perspex window can be removed allowing you to get up close and personal with the the model to open doors, luggage compartments and the bonnet to inspect the engine bay.
This could quite possibly be the most luxurious, OTT Barbie car to have ever been made. Starting from $17,000 USD it is certainly not one for the doll house.
