Titanium edition Navara

Nissan aims to attract more attention to its D40 Navara workhorse range with a new limited edition Titanium Dual Cab model that spruces up exterior and interior for a minimal price increase over the ST-X version on which it is based.

Beginning with the 2.5-litre 126kW common rail turbodiesel four-cylinder engine and offered in six-speed manual or five-speed automatic form, the special edition Navara adds features such as Titanium finish 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, grille, rear bumper, side mirrors and door handles.

Utilitarian features include Nissan’s "Utili-Track" load system, as well as a tray liner and chrome sports bar. Side steps are also standard.

The interior gets Bluetooth connectivity as well as titillations that include special floor mats and, on just 360 examples, charcoal-embossed leather upholstery with titanium-colour stitching.

Further identification comes from side graphics and a tailgate badge. A new colour exclusive to the Titanium edition is Black Pepper.

Nissan is producing 1000 Titanium Navaras for Australia, including the 360 extra-special leather-upholstery versions.

Prices for the Titanium Navara start at $48,400 recommended retail compared to the regular ST-X price of $47,860. The leather trim adds another $2,300.

The Nissan Navara, in both rear-drive and 4WD form, is currently running slightly ahead of 2008 year to date figures with sales to the end of June totalling 9,884. At the same time last year, 9,729 Navaras had been sold.
