TMR or Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is an Australian company that fields various Mitsubishi models in motorsport, tunes cars for motorsport applications but also specialises in tuning Mitsubishi vehicles for the road.
Headed up by Alan Heaphy, who has been a motorsport manager for more than two decades in both Australia and Europe, TMR is based in the Victoria's motor city Dandenong and has developed a number of road-going products in the past.
As well as the supercharged TMR 380 and the TMR Triton, the motorsport company has recently finished work on the Bathurst Edition of the Lancer Evolution, to celebrate its 12-hour Bathurst production car wins.
The most obvious canvas for TMR is the Lancer Evolution, but you may be surprised to know that the Triton commercial vehicle has also seen some high-performance TLC from TMR.
The Australian company even stocks performance parts for the Colt and unlike many aftermarket parts and companies, TMR's tweaks won't void your new car warranty.
As a self-funded company, the TMR group is a tight-knit and professional crew which is leveraging its motorsport successes to move into more road going product. And as the new TMR Bathurst Edition Lancer Evolution proves, these guys know what they're doing.
With a huge list of upgrades for many Mitsubishi vehicles, including an engine ECU upgrade that boosts power to 247kW ($2500), the mother-of-all suspension upgrades -- a fully adjustable Ohlins tarmac/track specification setup with coil over springs ($16,000) -- to less expensive upgrades like a TMR-spec rear muffler system ($880), the Aussie company has a long list of go-fast parts covering suspension, brakes, engine, body, driveline, electrical and even fuel system modifications.
