It goes without saying that 2020 was one hell of a year, on so many levels… but it sure did punch above its weight when it came to some weird and wonderful car-related stories. We well and truly needed the distraction.

In its fourth year of existence, carsales’ lifestyle and pop-culture destination, Carpool, has done its best to find the most weird, wonderful and helpful content in the car world.

2020 was the year of takeaway food! Drive-thru, online order, call and collect. Having someone else cook and having it picked-up or delivered has never been more popular (or more ‘COVID Safe’).

This increase in takeaway orders also led to an increase in the number of food-related in-car disasters. So how can you ensure your takeaway food’s and car’s safety? We servred up some top tips so head down to the next window to take a look.

4. Why are car brands changing their logos?

As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right? For some car brands it is a little less about fixing but rather reinventing when it comes to updating a brand logo. For the same reasons someone might colour or cut off their hair after a relationship ends or buy a new bag when starting a new job. It’s just cosmetic after all.

In 2020 a few of the world’s biggest and most well-known car brands decided to freshen up their logos for the new decade. After the year we’ve all had, we’re sure 2021 will be full of new looks, logos and life mantras.

And to be honest, we were at home already and had panic-bought so much toothpaste we thought we’d put it to good use in the name of science.
