Top five most-watched videos of 2021

We publish more and more videos every year and in 2021 our readers viewed thousands of hours of video reviews, comparisons and, more recently, carsales Best awards.

The latter featured heavily in our list of the most-watched videos of 2021, but so too did a ground-breaking new EV and the biggest new-model release of them all, the new Toyota LandCruiser.

1. carsales Best Small SUV of 2021

If you need proof of the popularity of compact crossovers today, look no further than the fact our Best Small SUV verdict video was the most-watched bar none in 2021.

2. carsales Best Mid-Size SUV of 2021

Close behind in second was our Best Mid-Size SUV verdict video, in which we announced our pick from the plethora of models now available in Australia’s single biggest auto sales segment.

3. Best Dual-Cab 4x4 Ute 2021

Our Best awards kept on giving in 2021 with the Best Dual-Cab 4x4 Ute intro video attracting almost as many views as our small and medium SUV award winners.

4. COMING SOON: 2022 Volkswagen ID.3

It might have been published in October 2020, but our preview of the Volkswagen ID.3 – the German giant’s first mass-market electric car – was still our fourth most popular video in 2021.

5. Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series officially revealed

Unsurprisingly, the first official video of the all-new Toyota LandCruiser made it into our top five most popular videos list, despite the fact it only went live in June.
