Top Gear Live returns to Australia for a third year, this time taking up residence in Perth's Burswood Dome during December.
Two of the TV show's presenters in Britain — Jeremy Clarkson and James May — will be out here for the live show, joined on stage by Shane Jacobson, co-presenter of the Australian version.
“We are excited to be visiting Perth for the first time," says Clarkson. “Australians get us and we get them. I guess when you think about it Australia and Britain are two countries that can tease each other and get away with it.”
Following the TV show's formula, the live show will feature the Stig, Top Gear's anonymous driving ace, demonstrating his skills in a Ford Mustang Cobra and his pick of 'star' cars. The Stig will also try out a fully transparent car for what the show's organisers claim is the first time anywhere in the world.
Clarkson, May and Jacobson will oversee the automotive mayhem, which will also involve car football, Rascals, Reliant Robins and rocket-powered cars, in between their special brand of on-stage banter.
The event will run over consecutive nights, from December 7 to 10 and tickets can be purchased through Ticketek . Further information can be found at the Top Gear Live website .
