Touareg R-Line packs
Volkswagen has introduced new accessory packages for the Touareg in Europe, but it's not certain the R-Line packs will make it to AustraliaVolkswagen in Europe has announced two packs for the Touareg SUV, one named R-Line Plus and the other R-Line Exterieur. Both are the products of Volkswagen Individual, the in-house mob that tarts up Volkswagens for buyers after ex-factory customisation.
R-Line Plus bundles together 20-inch alloy wheels, a four-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel, aluminium pedals featuring the R logo and sports-style seats with nappa leather trim.
R-Line Exterieur can be specified separately or together with the R-Line Plus pack and features an exclusive radiator grille design in a 'dual-rib' style finished in matt chrome, re-styled body-colour bumpers and door sills, two oval exhaust tips and suspension lowered by 20 millimetres.
Volkswagen has announced that the R-Line Plus pack will be priced at €5350 and the R-Line Exterieur pack will be priced at €4450. The two together can be purchased for €7630 and either or both can be specified for all variants other than the Touareg R5 TDI.
Whether we'll see these packages offered on the Touareg range in Australia remains unclear.
"We'll certainly look at that, but at this stage, we haven't made any decisions to whether we'll offer that locally", said Jon Dawe, General Manager Press and PR for Volkswagen in Australia.
