Toyota Australia has announced official pricing and specs for the people-mover that replaces the once-popular Tarago.
Offered in four variants, the all-new Toyota Granvia will arrive in Aussie showrooms from October 14, priced from $62,990 before on-road costs in entry-level six-seater guise.
Eight seats adds $2000 to the price of the base Granvia, while both six-seat and eight-seat versions of the premium VX variant are priced at $74,990 plus ORCs.
The Japanese car-maker has already confirmed a single powertrain offering across the Granvia range – a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine paired to a six-speed automatic, as seen in the new HiAce van on which it’s based.
Also confirmed is the inclusion of Toyota’s Safety Sense driver assistance technologies across all variants.
Active safety features include autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, active cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, reverse camera, traffic sign assist, nine airbags and front and rear paring sensors.
Smartphone mirroring is standard across the range, with premium inclusions such as quilted leather upholstery, panoramic view monitor, digital rear-view mirror and a 12-speaker Pioneer sound system reserved for flagship VX variants.
Toyota says capped-price servicing for the Granvia will cost $240 per visit for the first three years or 60,000km.
Toyota Australia’s sales and marketing chief Sean Hanley said the new Granvia nameplate is set to raise the bar in the people-mover market.
“The all-new Granvia offers superb value-for-money with unprecedented refinement and comfort and a list of impressive luxury features to cater to high-end family, hospitality and corporate buyers,” he said.
