Turns out Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the red pill for The Matrix Resurrections
A big red pill with a Mercedes-Benz G 63 treated moviegoers at the premiere of the new Matrix film in San Francisco.
The blockbuster film of the early 2000s, The Matrix returns to the big screen in its latest version, The Matrix Resurrections. 20 years on, audiences will return to a world of two realities: one, everyday life; the other, what lies behind it.

The reboot has been celebrated at its US premiere at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco earlier this week featuring not only the film’s star-studded actor lineup but with the cars that also make an impact. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class features in the latest film and as such, ‘walked’ the red carpet, as part of the event’s special “red pill” installation.
At around 12 metres long, four metres wide and 3.5 metres high, the big red pill tempted moviegoers with the powerful and iconic Mercedes-AMG G 63 inside it.
In the 2021 reboot, Neo (played by Keanu Reeves), the film’s main character, is again faced with the crucial question, the blue or the red pill? If he takes the blue pill, he remains in the everyday life of the simulated world of the Matrix. If he chooses the red one, he escapes from the alien-determined life into the unknown real world and once again fights against the rule of the machines.

The Matrix Resurrections sees the G-Class take part in a fast-paced chase scene. In a G 550, more rebels pave the way for Neo and Trinity, the two main characters, to escape from the Matrix.
