Two-seat Rolls-Royce Dawn Silver Bullet Collection shown

Rolls-Royce has released pictures of its forthcoming Dawn Silver Bullet Collection that's claimed to draw its inspiration from the roaring twenties.

Limited to just 50 cars worldwide and created by the Rolls' Bespoke Collective – the team of engineers, designers and craftsman that handles personalisation and coachbuilding requests – the Dawn Silver Bullet is said to be "an ode to decadence, to frivolity, to heady heydays and irrelevant past times".

The cars feature a special newly-commissioned silver metallic paint, but the biggest change over the standard Rolls-Royce Ghost-based convertible is the adoption of the Aero Cowling windbreak that gives the Dawn a more rakish appearance with the roof down and eschews the usual chrome for titanium trim.Other changes include darker exterior detailing that includes darkened headlights, and smoked chrome and alloy wheels that are claimed to contrast with the sparkling silver paint.

Inside, the Silver Bullet uses open-pore carbon-fibre highlights instead of the usual wood veneer, accompanied by leather jacket-inspired quilted hide wrapped around the transmission tunnel.

There's no word on when the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection will make its debut or how many may venture Down Under, let alone at what price, but expect a healthy premium over the already substantial $850,000 drive-away price Rolls-Royce charges for the Dawn Black Badge.
