TYRES: BF Goodrich continues sponsoring AORC

Australian Off Road Championship retains support from tyre brand in 2014
Tyre wholesaler BF Goodrich will return in 2014 to back the Australian Off Road championship.
The sponsorship deal is a good fit for the tyre company and the championship, with the top three drivers last year all running BF Goodrich tyres on their vehicles. Around the world, BFG has a long history of supplying tyres for off-road competition vehicles in events as diverse as the Baja 1000, the Dakar Rally, Pikes Peak and the WRC. Cedric Binoit, Managing Director for BF Goodrich Tires, acknowledged the Australian championship ties in well with the company's motorsport legacy.
"BF Goodrich Tires is proud to continue as a key partner with the Australian Off Road Championship in 2014," Binoit was quoted saying in a press release.
"The Championship is rapidly growing; with the exposure and reach offered it was an easy decision for us to be involved. The AORC is also the perfect place for our partners to put our BFGoodrich Tires to the ultimate test!"
"Years of development go into the design of all BFGoodrich Tires products, with lessons learned from engineering sessions at proving grounds and tracks, plus hundreds of off-road races around the world through our motorsport partnerships.
"What we learn in off-road racing including the AORC, our engineers use to create tyres that give even the most serious off roader what they are looking for – driving pleasure, strong sensations or extreme adventures."
The 2014 AORC season begins in Kalgoorlie, WA, over the Easter weekend (April 19-21). From there the championship moves to Finke in the Northern Territory between June 6-9, and the third round will be held in Waikerie, SA, between July 4 and 6. The final two rounds are Coffs Harbour (NSW) to coincide with the Rally Australia round of the WRC round, September 12-14, and the Lockyer Valley in Queensland for October 17-19.
