TYRES: BF Goodrich to sponsor 2013 AORC
Tyre brand to kick off partnership from third round of Australian Off Road ChampionshipFamous tyre manufacturer BF Goodrich has signed up as official tyre partner for the 2013 Australian Off Road Championship.
The AORC partnership kicks off at the third round of the 2013 championship – the Bentley’s Cabin Park Flinders 450 – in Baroota, South Australia, on July 27 and 28.
BF Goodrich Baja tyres are used by top three 2013 AORC contenders Shannon Rentsch, Hayden Bentley and Matt Hanson, as well as Beau and Travis Robertson’s Outer Bound Racing team.
BF Goodrich Tires Australian Managing Director, Thierry Martin-Lassagne said that partnering with the Championship provided another challenge for its tyres.
“BF Goodrich Tires is proud to partner with the Australian Off Road Championship,” he said.
“Years of development go into the design of all BF Goodrich Tires products, with lessons learned from engineering sessions at proving grounds and tracks, plus hundreds of off-road races around the world through our motorsport partnerships” Mr Martin-Lassagne continued.
BF Goodrich claims an impressive track record: It has dominated desert racing since the 1970s with 29 wins in the Baja 1000, multiple victories in the Dakar Rally, in the World Rally Championship and at the iconic Pikes Peak in the USA.

Round 1 Hyden 450, WA: March 30-31 – Completed
Round 2 Finke Desert Race, NT: June 8-9 – Completed
Round 3 Finders 450, SA: July 27-28
Round 4 Coffs Coast Off Road, NSW: September 14-15
Round 5 Lockyer 300, QLD: October 26-27
