JAXQuickfit will become the first national Australian retailer for Korean tyre maker Hankook from July 1 this year.
The landmark deal will see the independent tyre retailer stocking Hankook passenger-car, 4WD, light-truck and van tyres in its 80 stores covering New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania.
The partnership, which JAXQuickfit CEO Jeff Board says has been two years in the making, will fill what the company describes as the “missing link” in its product lineup.
“Hankook already has an impressive catalogue of original-equipment fitments for many Australian-made cars and countless imported models, including recent validation as original-equipment fitment to BMW’s new 3-series,” he said.
“In fact, incredibly Hankook has a tyre to fit any car anywhere in the world,” Mr Board added.
According to Hankook Tyre Australia CEO Paul Park: “We see our relationship with JAXQuickfit as a mutually beneficial partnership rather than just a supply arrangement.
“JAXQuickfit’s strong dealer network and marketing-driven approach fit with Hankook’s strategies and by strengthening Hankook’s supply to the market, we will deliver even higher customer satisfaction.”
Australian-owned JAXQuickfit offers a wide mix of tyre brands covering the premium, volume and budget sectors of the car market. The company’s innovative retailing approach is evident in services such as the recently-introduced ‘TouchPoint‘ kiosk technology for customer tyre and wheel fitment selection and servicing.
“We offer customers a ‘no hassle’ guarantee which basically means we’re guaranteeing that buying tyres will be simple, straight forward and enjoyable,” Mr Board said.
Hankook will join tyre brands such as Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli at JAXQuickfit outlets.
