Hankook Tyre Australia is responding to the way most owners employ their SUVs with a new tyre that has been designed primarily for road use.
Better suiting the tarmac bias of most of today’s SUV owners, the Hankook Dynapro HT aims at extending SUV tyre life, while lowering fuel consumption via lower rolling resistance and improving grip in wet conditions.
The Dynapro HT tyre features a tread pattern with “very stiff” centre blocks that give improved steering response, as well as case construction that contributes to steering stability.
Hankook says its “Stiffness Contour Theory” improves durability by minimising deformation when the tyre heats up and air pressure increases.
According to the managing director of Hankook Tyre Australia Mr. Paul Park, "Most SUVs sold in recent years rarely venture off made roads and the primary qualities many owners are looking for in replacement tyres are, therefore, comfort, stability, tarmac grip and low noise levels.”
Other tyres in the Hankook SUV range, including the Dynapro MT and ATM, are aimed more at off-road applications.
