The facelifted 2026 Genesis GV60 will arrive in Aussie showrooms this June armed with a bigger battery pack, more range, refined exterior design and an upgraded interior, however the variant line-up will be rather different to before.

Gone are the previous Lux AWD and Lux Performance AWD variants, replaced indirectly by the significantly cheaper Advanced RWD and rabid Magma AWD respectively – Magma pricing and spec will be announced closer to its release.
How much cheaper? The dual-motor Lux AWD carried a sticker price of $103,382 plus on-road costs, making the new single-motor Advanced RWD more than $15,000 cheaper… albeit at the cost of outright performance.
The new base model outputs 168kW/350Nm from a singular electric motor on its rear axle but draws current from an IONIQ 5-derived 84kWh battery pack which provides a maximum range of up to 561km on a single charge in tandem with the slipperier exterior design – vs 470km for the 234kW/605Nm Lux AWD and its 77kWh power pack.

A 350kW DC fast charge will take the battery from 10-80 per cent in a claimed 18 minutes if you can find a suitable charger.
Beyond the new mechanicals, the biggest upgrade to the GV60 is its technology suite which is headlined by a new 27-inch panoramic ‘ccNc’ display and the addition of Digital Key 2 functionality.
Other enhancements comprise an upgraded over-the-air updates controller, four-piston monobloc front brakes, recalibrated steering, extra soundproofing, hands-on detection, latest-generation lane-keeping and smart regenerative braking systems, and new-look 19-inch alloy wheels.

Standard equipment highlights on the Advanced trim include ‘micro lens array’ LED headlights, powered door handles, puddle lamps, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, the aforementioned 27-inch display, a powered tailgate and navigation-based adaptive cruise control.
Available to order now but not due in showrooms until June, the new cut-price GV60 is eligible for the federal EV Discount scheme and well beneath the Luxury Car Tax Threshold which should do wonders for its popularity.
Details of the IONIQ 5 N-based GV60 Magma will be announced in the coming months, however the very orange flagship isn’t expected to slip under the revised $120,000 LCT threshold.
How much does the 2026 Genesis GV60 cost?
Advanced RWD – $88,300
Magma AWD – TBC
* Prices exclude on-road costs
