VIDEO: Aston Martin teases new 450kW V12

Brit car-maker downsizes 5.9-litre but adds two turbos to make up for it. Still sounds wonderful

Aston Martin has confirmed it will replace its current 5.9-litre V12 with an all-new twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre that sticks to the same V12 configuration.

The new engine, which is expected to be offered alongside the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 375kW 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo, is expected to make its debut under the bonnet of the all-new DB9-replacing DB11.

The short video, released late last night, confirms the existence of the new engine and is heard revving out -- evidence, for enthusiasts that the presence of two turbos has not affected its evocative V12 soundtrack.
