Aston Martin has released a video of its limited-edition, track-only 7.0-litre V12 supercar being tested.
Just 24 Vulcans will be made.
Created to rival the McLaren P1 GTR and Ferrari FXX K, the Vulcan will be a limited-edition, racetrack-only hyper-coupe that comes powered with the company’s most potent version of its naturally-aspirated 7.0-litre V12 – this time generating up to a staggering 600kW.
The mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine was developed with Aston Martin Racing and drives the rear wheels through “a race-bred rear mid-mounted Xtrac six-speed sequential-shift gearbox.
Built around a full carbon-fibre monocoque, the lightweight Vulcan also gains carbon-composite bodywork and a comprehensive, fully adjustable aero package.
Confirmed specs include a limited-slip differential, magnesium torque tube with carbon-fibre propeller shaft, Brembo racing callipers gripping carbon-ceramic racing discs measuring 380mm at the front and 360mm at the rear, and 345/30 x19 rear wheels with Michelin race-spec tyres.
Featuring pushrod suspension andh adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, every part of the Vulcan, including brake balance and traction control can be individually tailored to the track.
Expected to sprint to 100km/h in less than three seconds, the Vulcan will easily be the quickest customer Aston in its 102-year history.
Costing round $3 million, Aston has already announced Vulcan buyers will receive expert tuition, technical support and [an] experience program that will include exclusive track and VIP days.
