Focus and Fiesta’s turbocharged 1.0-litre triple’s might tested by martial arts movie starFord has released three new YouTube videos to prove to the US market that its little 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder petrol engine is mightier than its diminutive cubic capacity might suggest.
Helping the car-maker is famous Swedish action hero Dolph Lundgren who, aside from his acting career, also holds a masters in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney.
Not that it helped in the three amusing short videos.
Created in the hope they’ll go viral, the videos show Lundgren playing the role of a scientist tasked with proving 92kW is more than enough power to create the ultimate blender, the world’s quickest skateboard and an automatic pitcher capable of hurling baseballs at more than 320km/h.
In the US market, both the Fiesta and Focus are offered with the small 92kW 1.0-litre turbo engine, which is available only in the Fiesta in Australia.
