Volkswagen Crafter Runner goes drive-away
Included on-road costs and other incentives for buyers of large German vanVolkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia has announced special drive-away pricing for the Volkswagen Crafter Runner range until April 30.
The entry-level Crafter Runner is now priced from $46,990 drive-away in MWB six-speed manual form, and from $52,490 drive-away with an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission, with LWB versions costing $3500 extra.
Based on the entry-level TDI340 version of the large van, the front-wheel drive Crafter Runner has been popular with business owners in both its current form (first launched in 2016) and in previous-generation guise (based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter).
However, this is the first time it is available in Australia as an auto, and with just 79 examples of the self-shifting Crafter Runner on offer here, they’re expected to sell fast.
Designed as a ‘black canvas’ for a variety of uses, the Crafter Runner offers a 3.55-tonne GVM and is equipped with rubber flooring, cloth interior trim and Candy White exterior paint.
In addition, for ABN holders, all Crafter vans variants are available with a 1.99 per cent fixed finance rate from Volkswagen Financial Services until June 30.

The Volkswagen Crafter Runner range is available to purchase now at VW dealers nationally or, as of last week, the German car-maker’s public website.
