Volkswagen lands 2018 Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Edition
Wolfsburg badge returns to Passat crossover range, this time limited to 250 units with new techVolkswagen Group Australia has announced the 2018 Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Edition, limited to 250 examples and fitted with a host of new equipment.
Priced at $54,990 plus on-road costs – $4200 more than the Passat 140TDI Alltrack on which it’s based – the Wolfsburg-fettled wagon is the first Passat to come with Volkswagen’s new 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system with gesture control, as seen in the facelifted Golf 7.5 range.
Other standard features in addition to the Alltrack 140TDI include black nappa leather, 12.3-inch Active Info driver’s display, 19-inch Albertville alloy wheels, LED headlights with LED daytime-running lights, premium LED tail-lights, ambient interior lighting, automatic tailgate, steering-mounted paddle shifters, rear privacy glass, easy entry/exit function for the powered front seats and Wolfsburg crest badging.
There are no changes to the 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, six-speed DSG automatic transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive system from the standard Passat Alltrack 140TDI.
The only options are a panoramic sunroof ($2000) and – unless you’re happy with the standard no-cost Pure White hue -- either Atlantic Blue or Manganese Grey metallic paint ($700).
