Volkswagen has released images of its all-new Crafter large van ahead of its launch at the Hanover commercial vehicle show in Germany this September.
Previewed in a series of rendered drawings, the pics give us our first look at the VW's biggest commercial van.
Ending the partnership with Mercedes-Benz, the new Crafter will no longer share a platform with the Mercedes Sprinter.
Instead it will sit on a new Volkswagen platform that still to be confirmed.
It's not been confirmed what will power the big van but the safe money is the punchy twin-turbo 105kW/340Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. That engine from the current Crafter will carry over.
Volkswagen's big commercial hauler will also be far more efficient than the van it replaces, in part because it has a drag co-efficient of 0.33 - the lowest in its class, VW claims.
Volkswagen has a number of commercial vehicles in its portfolio, including the Amarok ute, the Caddyvan, and the Transporter.
Quality, durability and value will also improve on the new Crafter model, says the German van-builder.
More will be revealed ahead of its official unveiling this September.
