
Volvo has debuted its S60 V8 Supercar racer in Sydney this morning. The car, set to compete in the 2014 V8 Supercar championship, was driven across the Sydney Harbour Bridge wearing new team naming rights partner Valvoline livery.
Other team sponsors include Volvo Car Financial Services, Volvo Trucks, Cummins, Hexis, Freem, Browne & Co and Clingtape.
Drivers Scott McLaughlin and Robert Dahlgren were on hand for the launch. They were joined by team principal Garry Rogers and Volvo Car Australia Managing Director, Matt Braid.
Volvo performance partner Polestar was represented by the Swedish operation’s owner, Christian Dahl.
motoring.com.au was not invited to the media event.
The Volvo V8 will make its first public track appearance at this weekend’s V8 Supercar test day at Sydney Motorsport Park.
