Volvo XC90 PHEV 2020 Review

On paper, it’s one of the fastest and efficient large SUVs around – but what’s the XC90 plug-in hybrid like in real life?

The Volvo XC90 is a mainstay in the Swedish car-maker’s line-up, winning over droves of fans with its svelte looks, spacious seven-seat layout, contemporary interior and first-rate safety and tech. The XC90 PHEV extends those themes with the application of a highly-efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain. Here, Sam Charlwood puts the XC90 range-topper through its paces.
