Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia has released a new limited-edition version of its one-tonne ute named the Amarok Atacama, after the central South American desert.
Available now across Australia, the factory-developed Amarok Atacama brings a raft of design and equipment upgrades for the same price as the TDI400 Highline dual-cab on which it's based.
That means the Atacama is available in both TDI400 Selectable 4MOTION manual and TDI420 Permanent 4MOTION automatic forms, with standard features including multi-function display, RNS315 satellite-navigation, dual-zone Climatronic climate-control, auto headlights and wipers, front/rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
In addition, there are bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime driving lamps, a black sports bar and side steps, black rear step bumper, ‘Durabed’ spray-on tub-liner, 18-inch ‘Durban’ black alloy wheels with Bridgestone 255/60 R18 tyres and new ‘QUAD’ fabric trim with a quilted bolster finish.
Just 500 Amarok Atacamas will be available, priced at $53,990 (manual) and $56,990 (auto).
