VW Passat CC makes room for one more
Sleek sedan now available with five seatsAlmost a year after going on sale in Australia, Volkswagen has announced that the Passat CC will now be available with five seats. Currently the CC (which stands for Comfort Coupe) is only available as a four-seater.
Only available in Europe for the present, the five-seat option adds a centre rear seat and is offered as a €100 option. Volkswagen Australia has indicated to the Carsales Network that it is considering adding the fifth seat option to the local line-up.
The Passat CC has proven a popular addition to the VW Australia line-up, the company shifting 902 examples of the stylish four-door in 2009. Interestingly though, sales of the regular Passat were down just over 1000 units compared to 2008.
