
Walkinshaw Performance has released a 'Stage 2' supercharger kit for V8 Commodore and HSV models. The kit comprises Eaton internals inside a Walkinshaw Performance ('WP') housing and was developed by WP with the assistance of Harrop Engineering (more here). Harrop Engineering has a long-standing history of consultative work to HSV and is fresh from developing the supercharger installation for Toyota's TRD Aurion (more here).
Other than the Eaton rotors and WP housing, the supercharger kit comprises the inlet manifold, drive assembly, air-to-water intercooler, cold-air intake and highflow fuel injectors. For the money, WP will also provide a 12-month/20,000km warranty and a full dyno tune.
Running on 9.5-10psi, the supercharged engine -- with a custom exhaust system -- will top 422kW of power at 6000rpm and 728Nm of torque at 4250rpm. WP can tailor the installation for higher levels of output, should the customer require that.
