Audi has hijacked the Spiderman Homecoming premiere to provide the closest look yet at the all-new next-generation A8.
Arriving on the red carpet with Spidey himself, the A8 was sporting full lens-flaring camouflage but still managed to show off the BMW 7 Series-rival's more muscular lines.
Also released overnight, an official Audi Germany video (see below) also shows a lightly camouflaged A8 undergoing final durability testing in a variety of conditions, providing our best look yet at the German car-maker's new flagship limousine.
Set to be revealed officially on July 11, the the A8 will come with an advanced semi-autonomous parking aid that can steer, accelerate, reverse and brake safely in a space - even when no-one is on board.
Recently, Audi also announced the A8 would come with a high-tech 48-volt electrical system that, thanks to an enlarged alternator/starter motor, would offer a near seamless start/stop facility and the ability to coast on the highway at speeds up to 160km/h.
Claimed to boost power and efficiency, the new electrics will be combined with a lightweight construction that ditches the old car’s full aluminium spaceframe for architecture that combines aluminium, steel, magnesium and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics.
