Stellantis has pulled the drapes off the wild Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept packing a 588kW next-generation electric powertrain that rockets the hot hatch from 0-100km/h in just 2.0 seconds, and on to a 320km/h top speed.
The 2025 Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo has been unwrapped ahead of its official debut in Munich next month and, shockingly, it’s based on the same STLA Small platform as the current Jeep Avenger.
Designed to preview both the future of Stellantis small cars and Opel’s GSE sub-brand, the
Corsa GSE is said to blend explosive performance with outstanding efficiency.
It features a pair of 350kW e-motors, a single-speed transmission, all-wheel-drive and an 82kWh battery pack, plus an overboost function that can liberate an extra 59kW for up to four seconds for even more explosive overtakes.
Stellantis hasn’t released full details of its latest all-electric powertrain, but it’s thought to be unrelated to the 447kW/837Nm dual-motor set-up used by the Jeep Wagoneer S.
More details of the new powertrain will be revealed at the Munich motor show, while the seventh-generation Corsa, inspired by the radical look of the new concept, is due for an unveil next year.
Despite building the hype for the hottest hatch of all, the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is unlikely to evolve into the real world once the concept is launched in the Sony PlayStation game it derives its name from.
Instead, expect the real Opel Corsa GSE to share its EV hardware with the 2026 Peugeot 208 GTI EV that packs a less impressive but respectable 206kW.
That said, expect the concept’s powerful but efficient 588kW/800Nm drive system to reappear beneath future Jeep, Peugeot and Alfa Romeo products in the near future.
