A single image of the upcoming 2021 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro has been accidentally posted on the British car-maker's website.
The photo of the outlandish Valkyrie AMR Pro was amusingly marked 'confidential' and appeared on the Astonmartinlagonda.com website for a short time before being removed.
But even its brief appearance was enough time for US car blog Jalopnik to grab a screenshot.
The culmination of Aston Martin's partnership with Red Bull Technologies, the Valkyrie AMR Pro is thought to feature everything dialled up to '11'.
From its outrageous rear wing and engine cover shark fin, to the comprehensive redesign of the front fenders, extended splitter and shrouded wheels, Aston has left no stone unturned to exploit the maximum amount of on-track performance from the road-going Valkyrie hypercar.
So dramatic is the redesign, it's thought the AMR Pro shares almost no body panels with the road-going version.
Weight-saving measures have also played a key role. Witness the presence of a pair of conventional door mirrors in place of the road car's heavier rear-view cameras.
Based on the racer that was destined to compete in the new Le Mans Hypercar series, but was canned at the last minute, the lighter Valkyrie AMR Pro is also expected to feature an uncorked version of the Cosworth-developed narrow-angle 6.5-litre V12.
Expect significantly more than the road car's 865kW/900Nm.
There's no word on pricing, but Aston Martin has already announced it plans to make just 25 Valkyrie AMR Pros on top of the sold-out run of 150 road cars.
Stand by as Aston Martin prepares to reveal full details in the coming months.
