Ferrari has released a single teaser of a wild new hypercar that will replace the LaFerrari and feature the car-maker's next-generation hybrid powertrain.
An overhead view of the hypercar's nose reveals a passing resemblance to the F8 Tributo or SP38, with four squared-off tail lamps and huge exhaust tips.
Under the bonnet, the unnamed hypercar is even thought to feature the same twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 – but it is there the similarities end.
That's because engineers are rumoured to have combined the twin-turbo V8 with not one, but three electric motors.
Expect heroic levels of power - about 750kW and 1000Nm of torque. That will ensure the newcomer comfortably ousts the LaFerrari, which combined a 6.3-litre V12 and a single electric motor to produce a modest (in comparison) 708kW/700Nm.
Moreover, the new hybrid hypercar will feature all-wheel drive and is set to hit 100km/h in less than 2.0 seconds and reach more than 350km/h.
Stay tuned, because all will be revealed in Europe in the early hours of Thursday morning, Aussie time.
