World-first rideshare service in Finland that accepts only singing as payment

The Fortum Singalong Shuttle is an innovative rideshare concept where the only payment they take for their service is singing.

The electric zero-emission vehicles will start their karaoke journeys across Finland in early July 2018 at the Ruisrock festival.

The idea of using the joy of singing as a payment method for environmentally friendly transport is the initiative of a clean-energy company in Finland who is encouraging their customers to look for new solutions to live a sustainable life.

They’ve obviously not heard of noise pollution before!

“With Singalong Shuttle we want to show people in a joyful way how comfortable and easy it is to drive an electric car,” says Fortum’s Brand Manager Jussi Mälkiä. “The silent electric cars make it possible to enjoy singing without background noise and emissions.”

Unfortunately the sing-to-pay concept is only running for a limited time, but who knows, perhaps song will be the next currency after Bitcoin.

We wonder whether the rideshare driver's will be prepared for some of the unique Finnish singers such as the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest winner Lordi?
