World’s first all-terrain ‘hyper limousine’ teased
Aznom Palladium limo crossover will be six metres long and two metres wide!We’ve seen wagons ‘crossover’ with four-wheel drives to become SUVs, utes do the same to become XUVs (remember the HSV Avalanche?) and SUVs crossover with coupes to spawn models like the BMW X6 and Audi Q5 Sportback, but this crossover may well take the cake.
Going one step further than the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Range Rover SVAutobiography, the Aznom Palladium will blend the limousine and SUV genres like no other vehicle before it.
Billed as the world’s first ‘hyper limousine’, the Palladium is the creation of Aznom, an Italian company based in Monza, “known for its special packages and customization of high-end vehicles, as well as for the successful design and manufacturing of selected ‘one off’ cars”.
The Aznom Palladium will be officially unveiled at the Milano Monza Open Air Motor Show in late October and, for now, all we have to go on are these to intriguing teaser images.
Oh, and the fact this limo on stilts will measure almost six metres long and two metres wide, making it as long as a Ford F-150 crew-cab pick-up.
Apart from a design created by Alessandro Camorali in his Turin-based Camal Studio and inspired by “the great sedans used by heads of state and by the opulence of luxury automobiles from the thirties”, Aznom says the Palladium will be a surprising vehicle with all-terrain capability to “fill an interesting and exclusive niche”.
To be built in limited numbers, the Palladium will be “unstoppable like a true all-wheel drive off-road vehicle”, claims Aznom, which also promises unparalleled comfort, high-quality materials, ample space, dynamic handling, high performance and solid reliability.
There’s little else to go on at this stage, but the Palladium name is apparently derived from that of Italian architect Andrea Palladio, who combined classic Greek and Roman styles in his creations.
Aznom produced a weird looking SUV based on a RAM 1500 ute back in 2018, but it’s unknown whether the Palladium will be based on another vehicle or the Italian company’s first bespoke model produced completely in-house.
Perhaps the only things for sure at this stage is that the Aznom Palladium will be expensive – and extensive!
