Zeekr Australia has repositioned its Zeekr X small electric SUV for 2026 with a sharp price cut, more power across the range and a shift to all-inclusive drive-away pricing.

The 2026 Zeekr X, which we poked around in this video, represents a significant value reset for the Chinese brand’s premium EV contender, with both variants now substantially cheaper than before while also gaining meaningful upgrades.
Previously priced from $56,900 and $64,900 (excluding on-road costs), the outgoing models now give way to new drive-away figures of $48,900 for the Zeekr X RWD (rear-wheel-drive) and $57,900 for the Zeekr X AWD (all-wheel-drive).
The shift to drive-away pricing means registration and delivery costs are now absorbed.

Importantly, the price drop hasn’t come at the expense of performance.
The single-motor RWD variant now produces 250kW, good for a 0–100km/h sprint in 5.6 seconds, while the dual-motor AWD delivers a hefty 365kW and a claimed 3.7-second dash to triple figures.
Driving range remains competitive. The RWD offers up to 405 kilometres (WLTP), while the AWD slightly edges it at 415km (WLTP).

Charging capability has also improved, particularly for the RWD variant, which adopts Zeekr’s ‘Golden Battery’ lithium iron phosphate or LFP chemistry. This supports DC fast charging at up to 230kW, enabling a 10–80 per cent top-up in around 18 minutes – roughly 12 minutes quicker than before.
Standard equipment has been bolstered, with all models now featuring a 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, heated front and rear seats, and capacitive steering wheel controls.
The Zeekr X AWD maintains its flagship positioning by adding massaging front seats and a temperature-controlled onboard fridge.

To support the May 2026 launch, Zeekr is offering pre-order incentives until May 31, including a complimentary 7kW home charger often worth around $1000, plus free premium paint, and two additional years of warranty and roadside assistance.
Existing customers are also being targeted, with a $3000 trade-in support offer aimed at encouraging brand loyalty.

The aggressive repositioning signals Zeekr’s intent to strengthen its foothold in Australia’s increasingly competitive premium EV segment while taking on established players like Lexus.
The Zeekr 7X mid-size family SUV has been a hugely successful model for the brand, and it clearly wants its smaller SUV to repeat this success.
