MY18 S Ultimate Volante 2dr SA 8sp 5.9i (4-st)Although the roots of the Aston Martin Vanquish go back to the DB9 model from 2003, the latest S-badged re-work of the traditional British 22+2 coupe provides plenty of panache. Heart of it all is the 443kW/630Nm normally-aspirated, front-mounted 6.0-litre V12 engine (also seen in the Aston Marin Rapide) which is faster, and sounds even better. It drives through the familiar eight-speed auto transmission. The S variant Vanquish is restyled with carbon-fibre front/rear extensions designed to reduce front-end lift and combine with re-set suspension improve stability at speed. Inside, analogue instruments set off by brushed carbon-fibre dcor are reminders of Aston Martins past.
