Joining the growing list of sedans that look as sexy as coupes, the Audi A5 Sportback adds something else: a fifth door that, by any other name, would qualify it as a hatchback. The slinky, versatile Audi is available in either 2.0 TFSI petrol form, or as a 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6, both with Quattro all-wheel drive and seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission. The packaging is similar to A5 coupes except for the extra doors. In petrol 155kW/350Nm 2.0 TFSI form the Sportback offers 6.6 seconds to 100km/h acceleration and 7.5l/100km combined fuel consumption.
