Overview
4S MY18 Spyder 2dr S tronic 7sp quattro 5.2i The mid-engined R8 supercar is Audi's halo car. The 5.2-litre V10-engined quattro coupe comes in either "base" 397kW/540Nm form, or as the V10 plus quattro that winds out 449kW and 560Nm, stopping the clock at 3.2 seconds in the zero to 100km/h dash. Riding on 19-inch wheels and supported by Audi's magnetic ride system (regular version), the R8 drives through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and is stopped by eight-piston front brakes with ventilated and perforated discs. The V10 plus version uses carbon fibre reinforced ceramic brakes. Four suspension modes, and full suite of comfort items mix unrestrained performance with indulgent luxury.
