The RS3's 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine is down-tuned slightly, to 250kW/450Nm, but the RS Q3 is still super-fast: Zero to 100km/h comes up in 4.8sec, with in-gear acceleration to match. Stiffer, lower-riding suspension, giant brakes, 20-inch alloys and AWD combine to provide tenacious grip while there's the usual practical advantages of being an SUV. The RS Q3 gets heated, powered leather sports seats up front, sat-nav, DAB radio, six airbags and a comprehensive lineup of new-technology safety equipment.
